Thank you everybody for suffering through my long submission for February. Due to health -and now family issues, I have been seeking to prioritize my projects, so this was a to see if it I should continue-or shelve temporarily thing.

Some good points were made, but to address one. Rey, I cannot confirm if the Comanchie raided into the part of Mexico my opening is set in, so I will make them Apache (good catch). However, Joe Blackhorse was a real Native American name I borrowed from...

I have largely sold work to publications that accept simultaneous submissions, mainly because I am impatient. I don't like waiting 60-90 days for a market to get back to me with a rejection letter before I can try somewhere else.

While that leaves a great number of excellent magazines to choose from -- Weird Tales, Cemetery Dance, Shimmer and Necrotic Tissue all accept...
