It's happening again on June 5th - 7th this year. It has guests from Romero's and other horror movies like Adrienne Barbeau, Ken Foree and the guy from the original Hills Have Eyes, etc. They also are having a focus towards fiction with special guests William F. Nolan, John Skipp, Cody Goodfellow and Carlton Mellick III doing readings and signings. I'm doing a dealer's table up there for Dark Discoveries and My co-editor/art director Jason Brock will be there running trailers of his Charles Beaumont and Forrest Ackerman Documentaries and heading up a Q&A with him and Bill Nolan on the movies. I believe Eraserhead Press is also doing a table in the dealer's room. Is anybody here planning on attending? I know Carlton Mellick III, Gina Ranalli, Jeremy Robert Johnson, Mykle Hansen, Cameron Pierce, Bruce Taylor, Forrest Armstrong, Rose O'Keefe, and Angie Molinar will also all be making apperances. Crypticon will also have the release party of the first issue of "The Magazine of Bizarro Fiction." I'm glad to hear you and Jeremy, Gina and everybody will be there as well as Cody, Skipp, Rose and Carlton. Always enjoy hanging out with you guys. Ron - I hooked the Crypticon guys up with Jason Brock and Nolan and they'll definitely be there. It took a little bit to get it coordinated so they weren't on the website before (though they may be now), but they are in the schedule. Bill will have some readings and signings and the Q&A with Jason and i'll have some of his books at my table (which he'll probably be at from time to time). It just seems like the way life was meant to be. And did you know that Cody, Jeremy, Cameron and I are doing an hour-long fictive round robin, wherein we have to make shit up on the spot? It's a dealer's badge and it's a VIP all-access weekend pass that normally runs for $150. You get a teeshirt, bag of stuff, meet & greet with the celebs , food and more. I was splitting the table with Jerad Walters (Centipede Press) but he can't make it. I'm still going to sell a few of his books at my table (at a discount) for him, but don't need two badges. I got a call from one of the organizers about a month before it happend last year, but too short notice to get involved. It's only a couple of hours drive north though so i'm gonna check it out this time. Usually any horror con that has a movie focus with actor guests, etc. does pretty well. I guess they've done it in Minnesota for a few years and are expanding it to Texas, Washington, etc. They're trying to get more of an author focus too and are featuring the above mentioned guests which they didn't have last year. - James www.darkdiscoveries.com

I wasn't certain that I was interested at first cos I had an idea it was mostly a gore film con with moft of ye guests Scream Queens -- but the more I hear about it, the cooler it sounds. And they have warmed my eldritch heart by actually having a LOVECRAFT PANEL at 7.00 p.m. Friday!!! It is great to have a local horror con here in Seattle, and I hope to become more involv'd with it.
