I read this post http://shocklinesforum.yuku.com/topic/16113/New-on-line-horror-magazine-premiering-on-October-31st-2010?page=1 but for some reason I was unable to post a comment, maybe, the topic is closed.
I think I am another victim and need some help.
He contacted me about two years ago and asked if he could interview me. I said Yes and did his interview, which had some wildly incorrect statements, one was something like, "As the star and director of over 25 feature films, do....?" I've been in that many films, but usually they are no-budget films or big studio films where I'm just an extra. I have IMDB writing credits but have never directed a film.
Anyway, as far as I know the interview was never published. I'm a little skeptical on why someone would want to interview me to begin with. Have you ever heard of me? I didn't think so. I've had a few short stories published, was an extra in a few films, and I have no delusions that I am interview-worthy.
Then he asked me if I would do some interviews for him, and if I could send him some stories to put up on his website that would be selling the book. I wasted my own time and that of several writer friends doing the interviews. I haven't heard from him since I sent him a group pf stories 2 plus years ago.
Now I'm worried that my stories are out there somewhere with his name on them. He seems to promote himself as a Christian writer and I am a blasphemous profane atheist, so I'm sure he didn't steal any of my stories glorifying evil, but I did send him a lot of stories.
He even said he'd give me a percentage of the royalties from the book!!!
Where can I find his resume or a list of stories that he supposedly wrote and had published?
Unfortunately I write a lot of flash fiction and have had my computer crash twice, so I have literally hundreds of stories published, most by small non-paying 4theluv sites; and I have a terrible memory. I don't know the names of 15% of my stories nor do I even have copies of them, most of the old sites I've been published on are no longer active, so I can't google my story names.
Does anyone know where I can get a list of his published fiction and non-fiction?
Interestingly, previous to this, about 5 years ago I wrote for and was associate editor of Red Scream Magazine run by David Williams, who became a film maker and created Red Scream Films LLC. Williams just spent 6 months in jail for embezzlement. He worked for a company making educational products for jr high school kids. He stole thousands and thousands from them, and the money that was meant to help educate the young people of this country was stolen to fund a series of shit 'erotic horror' films. For the film I was in Prison of the Psychotic Damned, I ended up writing a lot of the movie, for a promised writing credit, which I did not get. I have proof of everything- his original script, a 30 page list of changes and new scenes and dialogue I wrote, and the final script, with all of my writing incorporated into the new script but my name gone, as well as e-mails confirming everything, including emails related to his magazine written from his corporate email. Almost everyone involved with him or the film regrets it and won't work with him again. If you google "Buffalo" "Red Scream" and "Williams" you can read about his six month sentence.
I recently had my greatest idea plagarized but I can't talk about it yet as it was a major blow to me, it happened about 6 months ago and I start dry heaving when I think about it. When I first saw the advertisement I almost passed out. Someone is actually making money from my idea, which even I haven't been able to do. I want to grab everyone by the throat and say "This is my motherfucking idea!"
I know I shouldn't let these experiences affect me too much but I stopped submitting fiction well over a year ago. I still write, a lot, I just keep it to myself and occassionally email to a friend or two. I guess you could call me a quitter, I have always loved to write, and I have always written, and I have always wanted to be published, but I vowed to stop submitting my writing anywhere. The last really good story I wrote- I worked on it for awhile, when I was finished it I printed it out and deleted the electronic copy. Then I sat with a cup of coffee and cigarette and read it several times. I was very entertained by it, which was all I wanted to do. Then I went into my backyard and burned the story Kafka-style. Now that story is mine and always will be in my head and no one can plagarize it, no one can ever steal it, or get credit for it.
Anyway, if anyone knows where I can find a list of stories Anemic Dave has had published I would appreciate it.
In http://shocklinesforum.yuku.com/topic/16113/New-on-line-horror-magazine-premiering-on-October-31st-2010?page=1 someone asked if anyone knew where Doc Fraud lives. I don't, but you can go to a site like people finders or something like that and pay $100 and get names, addresses, akas, known associates, businesses, family members, etc.
thanks everyone
