What is Necon without humidity and heat? Or humidity and chilliness? Or humidity and (insert favorite temperature here.) My hair is a handy-dandy hygrometer; I
can always tell when I'm getting close to Roger Williams because it stands up and cheers...and won't go down again until I'm on my way home.

few years Beth isn't there, it's not so humid ...

You bet, Rick. We bring tons of the stuff up from VA. In fact, we're packing the car to hit the road to Necon in about an hour, and as I type, Cort is
loading the humido-sacs amid the suitcases and artwork. It's hell when they leak, though. Can't see through the windshield for nuthin'.

I've been waiting, rather impatiently, for the last 364 days and am now so anxious and happy that it's almost time. Can't wait. I'm leaving
tomorrow at 1:30. Carpooling with three members of my writing group. I always have to drive alone and am so excited to have company. I'm making marshmallow
treats tonight. No vodka soaked gummi worms this year.

That sounds like perfect weather to me! My hair wouldn't know how to act if it couldn't frizz.
Like Tracy, I've been impatiently waiting for the last 364 days! I leave tomorrow morning at 6:10 am. I'm flying to NY, then Lisa Mannetti and I are riding up together the rest of the way. Beats the horrendous drive I had last year! (10 hours just to get to Port Chester.) Plus, I got such a good price on plane fare, it is truly costing less to fly than to put gas in my car for the whole trip plus pay tolls. |
