Excellent Advice from WD |

I heart WD. Speaking of which, I have to check if I got my latest issue. Think my subscription is screwed up, and I keep forgetting to contact them. Dammit.
Anyhoo.

I haven't read Writer's Digest in like 7 years. Thanks for the tip!

I always found Writers Digest useful, in the same way as warming for a workout at the gym. You look like a geek doing all of those sissy-stretches and those
soft waving warm-up steps, and you live in fear that someone is going to accuse you of tai-chi - but it sure helps in the workout.
I still read it, but I rip the covers off first so no one knows what I'm up to. |

I read WD for the first year after I decided to write for publication instead of filling the trunk. I learned a lot about the business, and even more from the
ads, which are the print equivalent of "Hey, sailor, come here often?" I even entered one of their contests (honorable mention). After a year I found
it was starting to repeat itself, and I let my subscription lapse. But I used WritersMarket.com for years, until I discovered Ralan.

I read the article and then realized, Hey--the author and I are acquaintances and run in the same circles. Kinda neat.

ha! Btw, Steve, I will admit to my desire to enroll in a class for tai chi. I am a geek of all varieties, and you all might as well know that.
