He is unemployed and I have reason to believe he receives disability checks from the government for bi-polar disorder. He uses the computer at the local library in Vicennes and that is why he posts the library hours on all of his websites as his "hours of operation." Probably pushes little kids out of their seats in the library to hog the internet there. What B. Thoughtful, Ferrel "Rick" Moore and I were hoping to do is to stop David Boyer from stealing fiction (and in some cases money) from innocent people. I believe that Dean Koontz is going to help us in that endeavor.

About the parts of Dean Koontz's letter still being legible...that's fine. Everyone already knows that I was the one to contact him so the letter is addressed to me. We removed the part entirely that we don't want to be made public. That is why the letter is cut in half and shows as two parts. We don't want Boyer to know everything, just that he is in deep doo doo now ( a lady does not type the word shit ). hahaha Honestly, the weirdest part of all is that David Boyer used the Koontz plagiaized story for a book titled THE GRAND DESIGN as written by one of his "Christian" aliases, Dylan Cook. One has to wonder why David Boyer plagiarized Dean Koontz for a Christian book, but then again, David Boyer has never made any sense to me. As soon as he was contacted by Mr. Koontz' lawyer, David immediately removed THE GRAND DESIGN off of Amazon. Too late, B. Thoughtful has all the evidence photocopied and documented (including the screen shots of THE GRAND DESIGN being sold on Amazon) and our friend Janrae Frank actually bought a copy (yes, a Boyer book actually sold one whole copy) to use as physical evidence. Remember, David Boyer not only stole fiction, but artwork and sometimes money from victims as well. Posts: 289 Mar 26 11 2:44 PM Apprentice Shockliner Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	What I find ironic about all this jazz is this -- Connie Corcoran Wilson who really went after David Boyer on the HWA and Sam's Dot Publishing, is herself plagiarized myself. It's a long and complicated story, but here is the short version: Connie and I wrote this book called IT CAME FROM THE '70S in 2008 and it was going to be published in 2009. When she start attacking me on public forums and sending hate mail out to me to every editor, writer and reviewer because I just got engaged, I decided not to get the book published after all. Anyway, IT CAME FROM THE '70S featured movie reviews, interviews and trivia questions. Connie published IT CAME FROM THE '70S by herself and still used a 110 of my trivia questions without my permission or consent. I consider that plagiarism ... don't you???

I don't know if you've been following the Boyer plagiary charges, but authors who have evidence of his theft have been quite successful in getting his books pulled. Instead of making a post in a thread that has nothing to do with Connie, you might wish to consider making a thread about what happened. In this manner, I feel Mike was also a victim because it muddied his name simply for past associations. Mike has worked very hard most of his life building a large quantity of legit stories and interviews. His only crime is being fooled by Boyer, like so many others. I'm not 100% sure if he nominated the story for Stoker, but if he did, it was because he liked the story and believed it to be David's. I am just repeating what some of my readers have told me. No one should understand being a victim of David Boyer more than me. Two years ago I accepted a stolen story from David Boyer (under his alias David Byron) for The Horror Zine. When all the fiasco with the Horror Writers Association came to light, I figured I had better check on the story (titled The Dead Wall). Sure enough, the real author is Michael Wolf and it was B. Thoughtful who found him. http://b-thoughtful.blogspot.com/ So, needless to say, I was more than a little upset to learn that David Boyer had scammed me. Note to Mr. McCarthy: I believe Jerrod when he says you didn't know that David Boyer had stolen Ferrel "Rick" Moore's story Electrocuting the Clowns. Of course you recommended it because I have read it and it truly is a very good story. Without knowing who and what David Boyer is, it is an easy mistake to make. After having complained to HWA and being rebuffed, and after having learned that his claims have no basis in fact, and that his threats of lawsuits did not frighten us, he's taken to the boards. As the publisher of Connie's book, I can state without doubt that any and all of Mike portions from the 2008 collaboration were removed. His only "proof" is a word document of the original unplublished book which doesn't prove which portions he wrote vs what he is claiming. At one point, he even claimed to have filed a copyright of the entire collaborative version even though more than half of it was made up of Connie's original; movie reviews published in newspapers during the 70s. How he thought he could copyright someone else's work is beyond me...but he's the expert, right? We had this project vetted before publishing just because of Mike's past involvement, and the printer, Createspace, has documentation on file of the copyright state. I'm not going to belabor it further, but suffice to let folks consider Mike's own reputation and associations to speak for themselves. We're very happy to have published Connie's book as well as many others. Mike has informed me recently that he's found a "big name" publisher (as opposed to my "hole in the wall" operation) who is interested in his version of the book. He was even kind enough to send me a ToC. I wish him luck, and trust that he'll be careful in what works he claims are his. The fact you violated that copyright, just shows the ethics of your publishing company. The concept of the book was mine. 10 photos were mine. I typed up most of Connie's musty reviews from her basement scrapbooks. And what thanks did I get? You guys steal 110 of my question. I didn't threat a lawsuit to frighten you and Connie, I decided against that after the advice of my lawyer, who told me, "You can't get blood from a stone ...they probably only 30 copies ,,,"

Posts: 289 Mar 28 11 1:33 PM Apprentice Shockliner Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	John: I am not trying to frighten you, but I'd like to enlighten you about Connie Corcoran Wilson's other publication with your company, called HELLFIRE & DAMNATION. This short story ends with a so called "screenplay" named "American Girl." The problem here, John is this, the screenplay is based on a real incident and real people and Ms. Wilson didn't get permission from the people to write a screenplay about them. This is not standard practice in Hollywood nor in the publishing world. All Ms. Wilson really did was change the names of the characters. But because this is the most famous murder in the history of the Quad Cities, they are still very easy identifiable and thus, you and Ms. Wilson are very liable. I am just trying to offer a word to the wise, that is all. If there are any legal experts on Shockline, please back me up, or show me where I am wrong. All the best, Mike
