How goes it? Haven't been on here for a long time. I've really got bogged down with drafting and redrafting and a load of rejections that I haven't
had the heart to go online for about a year. Hope everyone is well. I'm currently smarting from the realisation that I could be a better editor of my own
fiction, so I'm spending more time honing things down.

Yeah, I'm in the process of becoming an English lecturer (at A level), which is very rewarding and working with young people and talking to them about
literature is not really work in my opinion. My writing's gone to pot a bit, just through lack of confidence really (after a couple of rejections and me
being quite tough on myself). Still, I've a thicker skin and all that. I'm pretty confident that the project I've been sweating over for the last
few months is the best stuff I've done and I'm looking forward to submitting it somewhere. I think my writing was a little obtuse for most people in
the past so I've taken a step away from horror... quite strange but not as weird as stuff I've wrote in the past. I've gone a little existential,
so most of my ideas involve people fighting for their identities or a sense of purpose. It's dark but it's not ball to the wall scary.
Mike... what the hell's Owl Man? sounds interesting. Is he a superhero that has mouse bones and feathers in his shit? |

OwlMan would have compressed bones and fur in his shit, correct. The logo on his superhero chest would be one feather embracing an infinity of fox turd.

Welcome back, Liam!
BTW, I think we all go through the poor self-confidence things at time. I know I do. Just got to keep going. I've seen enough to know that I've seen too much. |
