May to July Issue / 4/19/08
Welcome to the new NVH Magazine. Beginning with our May issue, NVH will be changing publication formats, with new issues coming out every two months instead of every month, in hopes that the time spent inbetween issues will allow us to pick through our vast submissions archives in order to bring you only the very best in new horror fiction.
Coming in May to July issue, we will be proud to present new fiction from Jeani Rector, Daniel Bachleda, Joshua Thays, John Everson, newcomer Greg hall, and much, much more.
This issue's film reviews will be a 1980's Slasher Rewind, including reviews on such slasher classics as Maniac, The Prowler, Just BeforeDawn, and The Burning, by NVH film critic Chris Ringler. And then there is my new Director's Chair, which will feature Maniac director Bill Lustig, as well as Tourist Trap director David Schmoeller doing in depth interviews. Then there is our Celebrity interviews, with Hammer Films scream siren Ingrid Pitt, Butterball cenobite Simon Bamford, and Bud The Chud star Gerrit Graham, among others.
And don't forget to check out the guest author interviews, which include Bram Stoker Award winning author Joe R. Lansdale! Then there is the Dark Poetry page, with in which our poetry editor, Tony Bernstein, delivers the goods as usual with new poetry from all over the globe!
