This man is tone-deaf to the country and its people ...
Seriously ... How can he sleep at night?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAevndifwEc Oddly, what Bush said was the least stupid thing to come out of his mouth since...Whoa...drawing a blank. I don't know if I believe him, but after eight years I feel really burned out...so...

It's probably for the best. You can do a lot of damage with a golf ball, after all.

Wow -- just...wow. I don't think I've ever heard the word "sir" used as devestatingly before. I also got the impression he averted an f-bomb
by about 3/1000 of a second at the end.

WOW!
I wonder how much George Soros paid for that little bit of media manipulation. Nobody noticed of course where Democrat ends and the quote begins just to mention one case of subtle deception in that piece. Yes George, we'll get Bush and McCain in the same frames . . . don't worry . . . yes, we know who pulls the strings. Hatemongering and Fearmongering at its' finest! And if that passes for amazing then it's no wonder why I can't find enough decent reading material anymore. Don't worry comrades, the magic Obama is bringin' change! |

What's amazing to me is the vapidity of what passes for "amazing" to some people.

What's amazing to me is Rick's ability to start potentially incendiary threads. He's like an arsonist, he lights a little fire and waits for it to
spread, keeping silent. First O'Reilly now this. Good job, sir (and I mean that sir in a good way, not like Olberman's sir, sir).

Those who enjoy Olbermann have no reason to criticize Michael Savage's reasoning process, and vice versa. They are equally methodical in their analyses.

Agree or not with Olbermann's message, you have to admit that it's a brilliantly structured piece of invective. That boy studied at the knee of Cicero,
and learned his lessons well. I'm really tempted to use it as a training video for my public speaking club.

I think it's more of the petty, bitter, viciousness that the left has grown comfortable with.
Tedious and long on accusation, but short on actual fact. It also helps if you have a television network to promote your bullshit, if you haven't noticed. All that feigned anger and outrage for the camera, between glances at his text, is kind of childish whether from the Left or the Right. I wonder who puts the dough behind such a sideshow. Television isn't cheap, so someone is funding that fiasco. |

Aww ... You caught me! ... Yeah ... I like to open the door a crack, pull the pin on a hand grenade, roll it into the room, and watch the fun ensue ...
To be honest, I haven't gotten around to checking Shocklines as much this week because, after delivering a trilogy proposal to one editor, a finished novel (Waiting) to another, and a screenplay (Animosity based on James Newman's fantastic novel!) to my manager, I'm actually taking two weeks off ... Sitting on my deck, smoking cigars, chatting with Glenn Chadbourne when he drops by, and reading for the pure pleasure of it. Plus ... everyone knows I'm a "Granola-crunching, tree-hugging, tie-dye-wearing, long-haired leftover from the Sixties" (Tom Monteleone's words) ... and proud of it. (Truth to tell--I don't have any tie-dye clothes ...) I genuinely enjoy the exchange of ideas (although the personal attacks -- from either side, left or right -- wear thin fast ...). It's a nice little community we have here, and it's always interesting to hear different points of view (satisfied with the knowledge that all my opinions are always a wee bit better because they happen to be true!) ... <g> ... <G!> I do think our current president is an idiot, and I think Olberman's response to the "quit playing golf" statement was purty damned cool ... I love seeing passion in politics! It's doubly interesting since they have found footage of Bush playing golf two months after he said he gave it up to show his solidarity with the troops ... How 'bout passing the GI Bill he and McCain are so opposed to? They don't because, if they make the education benefits look too good, the military will have a retention rate problem ... Hmm ... Sure sounds like supporting the troops to me ... Love and peace ... Let's all sing Kumbyah ... --Rick H
