This has been posted on the Zencore advert since July 2007: Much has happened since 'Scriptus Innominatus' was first prescribed in June 2007 or found to be an ingredient in at least some reading enhancement worldwide. Reading gives you pleasure but some pleasures have to be worked for. Not all reading in the Zencore! book is easy reading. Sometimes it's quite hard. Sometimes it's just the tenacity of feathers. Just as an aside and off topic, having done the 'Weirdmonger Wheel' for a few years now (posting all my previous published stories), I now know which I think are the best ones (and in the main they are not those in the 'Weirdmonger' book). Any publisher who would like to publish a very CONSIDERED selection of my work in a book, all they need do is ask. :-) Also my novellas: Weirdtongue, The Apocryfan, Yesterfang. Or novels: Tenacity of Feathers (The Hawler, Klaxon City, The Angel Megazanthus). des although that selection did eventually turn out to hold together very well as a sort of kaleidoscope or accretive 'novel'. I was thinking of THE CORE ZONE (I created someting called the Core Mythos in the Seventies from which many of my own stories and 'The Hawler' derive.). However, there is a danger of all these titles getting mixed up, ZENCORE, CONE ZERO, CORE ZONE... Any ideas? I was just thinking... If a new collection ever did get off the ground, it would be about 50% 'unpublished' DFL stories (ie recent ones only so far posted on the Wheel). Or someone could do all three new novellas as one book??? Just thinking aloud. Don't expect there to be a rush. :-) PS: Still interested in any thoughts on the title for Nemonymous Nine. RIPE Nero Coze suffered from display-pains. That wasn't his real name nor was that the real name for the condition from which he suffered. But you have to start somewhere. It was simply that events were ripe for telling. A story grown to its optimum fruiting. And there was a sudden need, I felt, to nail the fulfilment before it went away and became one of the infinite number of stories that existed somewhere as entities ever on the edge of narration. Narration could more easily pick any ready crop hanging plump from the Tree of Telling, if Narration truly believed that they represented real fruit, juicy and crisp, succulent with sweetness while tinged with acid.
