If you want the nuts-and-bolts of the business from the perspective of a real pro, this is a great resource. I'll never forget Dick's chapter about
taking a job at a law firm that started at oh-my-god-thirty in the morning, so he could still have the time (and money) to pursue his writing career in the
afternoons and evenings.
Also: I really wish Deadline Press had done more books. They had some real winners. Norm |

It's an excellent and informative book, and I really hate to part with it.
E-mail me--use darkfluidity AT yahoo DOT com if you don't have my regular e-mail address--and we can discuss price and such. In the past, I'd accepted offers twice for $600, and both people backed out. Basically, it'll go to the first person who offers $550. (That includes postage.) Otherwise, make an offer, and we'll see what happens.

bump - cause I really want to see A WRITER'S TALE find a good home.
(and if it's for $600, my copy may need to find a good home too) Keep Smiling, Jan |

I agree that somebody needs to reprint Dick's most useful guide. I'm sorry, John, you must part with this, but I hope you get a fair price for the
treasure you have.
For those who would like a peek, the HWA has a snippet at its website: http://www.horror.org/writetips-laymon.htm. Best Judi |
