This can turn into a healthy conversation; all you have to do is use your imaginations -- it's a wonderful device, trust me -- give a prosper answer, and try. Your family is on the soup line, your friends on the chopping block, and everything you've worked hard for taken from you to fund people you don't know, and there is carnage EVERYWHERE. Imaginary scenario (I definitely see a need to repeat these two words now). What would you do to survive in a militarized America? P.S.: please give me attention now; or, a nickel for your thoughts. Country boys CAN survive. They can plow a field all day long. They can catch catfish from dusk til' dawn. They brew their own whiskey and their own smokes, too. Aint too many things them ol' boys can't do. They grow their own tomatoes and homemade wine. They can skin a buck and run a trout line. Them country boys can survive. You can't starve 'em out and you can't make 'em run, 'cause when them ol' boys raise those shotguns.... well, you know the rest.

I think I'd probably hunt down Lawrence Dagstine, print-outs of every retarded message board post he'd ever made in one hand, and a bar of the poisoned Asian chocolate he thinks will be shipped out in order to 'test' us in the other. I'd make him eat every ridiculous line he's typed, then force-feed him the toxic Cadbury's. I'd traverse America, looking for him. It'd be like The Rising, only my story has an ending that everybody would enjoy.

I think you're picturing something more along the lines of a de-militarized America.
